What brings you solace?
For me, it can be something incredibly simple: sitting at the piano and improvising without thinking about where the music is going, walking alone in nature, watching the light change at the end of the day, or simply being surrounded by people who make me feel safe.
These small moments can sometimes feel even more precious when everything around us feels loud, fast and uncertain. “Solace” was born from that feeling — the idea of finding a quiet place within yourself, even when the world around you is anything but quiet.
A new chapter
“Solace” is the first piece from my new EP, When I Find Peace, coming November 6.
The EP explores different ways of finding moments of peace and connection in everyday life. Some pieces are intimate and fragile, while others carry more movement and energy. But they all come from the same place: the need to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what really matters.
With “Solace”, I wanted the music to feel like a small refuge. Something you can return to when you need a moment away from the noise.
Bringing the music into the forest
The music video was filmed at Domaine de Paturia, surrounded by the forest.
I wanted the visual world of “Solace” to feel as natural as the music itself. No elaborate set, no artificial atmosphere — just a piano, the trees, the light, and a quiet place where you can take your time.
Being surrounded by nature while filming felt like a natural extension of the piece. The forest has its own rhythm and its own silence, and I wanted to let that become part of the experience.
A piece for the quiet moments
There is no single definition of solace.
It might be music for one person, nature for another. It might be a conversation, a place you know by heart, a sunset, a memory, or simply a few minutes alone.
That is what I hope “Solace” can become: a little space to slow down and breathe.
I hope you’ll find your own moment of solace in it.
